Gavin Turns 2!!!

I love this little guy! Looking at him you would guess he's probably a three year old, but I'm so thankful he's just 2! Gavin's birthday falls a couple days before Christmas and some, no a lot of people, always say, "poor thing!" I guess I understand that, but his birthday has always been full of celebration and focused just on him, and that will continue! I would never let his day get lost in the jumble of Christmas!

Gavin is such a happy and mellow kid! His biggest love besides his mother, are the trucks! He gets so excited when there's a garbage truck, semi-truck, etc! (However, since Christmas that is slowly being taking over by trains...ah!) Currently his favorite song is by Micheal Buble, "Haven't Met You Yet." He could dance over and over to it!

Gavin is a cuddler, which I have grown to love, not because I don't like cuddling, but I have a hard time doing that when I sleep. He randomly gives me kisses, hugs, and squeezes! Hallie is also his security and loves holding her hand and sleeping by her. He's an incredible eater, becoming a great sleeper, our little chef, and my bubba's!

We started out his birthday morning with a present! He was es tactic!

Gavin's birthday cake, a semi-truck cake! He loved it! I decided I needed to do a better job for my kids cakes, especially since I have the tools! They're so excited when mom did the cake! It turned out great and was super delicious, thanks to a recipe from Chad's mom.

We've been in Wyoming now for a little over a month and celebrated Gavin's birthday with the Webb clan.

I don't know if I've ever seen a more excited kid on a birthday! He grinned from ear to ear the entire time, "Happy Birthday To You" has become his favorite song, including during the sacrament at church, and with each present, he wiggled his fingers with excitement, just waiting to get his hands on the opened present!

I love my little guy and love loving him!

Dear Gavin,

Happy Birthday Gavin! You are such a blessing to us and bring so much happiness with you! My birthday wish for you is that you love life, take your challenges head on, love the Savior and hold tight to the gospel! We love you!

Hallie's Funnies

-"Dad, do you like being hairy?"

-While sitting on the potty, Hallie says, "I like President Monson, but not President Obama. He's not a very good president. He just spends money all day."

-Hallie says, "Oh poop!"
Me, "What did you say?"
Hallie replies," What I meant to say was, "oh great!"

-"Mom, take my picture, cuz my eyes are out!"

-While wearing her new boots, she starts running and says, "Cowgirl, comin' through!!!"

-"Mom, I want you to move Grandma to your bed."

"You want her to sleep in my bed?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because Grandma snores."

-"I'm 4, so I'm an adult!" (Trying to stay up late.)

-When asking for a dog, I told her maybe she could do some work to help earn a puppy and she said, "Mom, that's for boys, not for girls!"

-"Mom, it splattered like a milkshake!"

What she said after using the bathroom.

-Upon hearing that Gavin has a small fever from teething, she rolls over on her knees and says a prayer asking Heavenly Father to make him better.

-Chad's in the shower and Hallie walks in their and says, "Hi dad. Are there sharks in there?"

-A couple funny ways that Hallie says some words, utterbody=everybody, and dirthday=birthday.

-When she means to say, "just a little bit," it always comes out, "Just a little bit-it."

-Hallie flushed her panties down the toilet and then cried for her flushed panties. She didn't realize she couldn't get them back!

-While at the jewerly store with Chad, Hallie asks Chad, "Where's that man's hair?" The man is acutally the employee helping them. Chad tries to ignore her and she says, "Dad, why he's bald?" Luckily the man just laughed!

-Choice between ice cream and pop-si-bil (popsicle). Chose pop-si-bil and ate it all. Hallie is crying and says, "I don't want a pop-si-bil!" Mom says, "It's in your tummy!" Hallie crying says, "No, no! I don't want a pop-si-bil!"

-Hallie wondered what "self-awareness" was that the YW did. I explained in simple terms about protecting herself. Now she says that when the bad men come you punch them in the nose, and punch them in the "bathroom" (privates).

-Hallie likes to come in our bed in the morning and cuddle with Chad. This morning while "cuddling" she says, "Dad...you're squeezing me like an orange!"

-Mom says, "Hallie, Why did you do that?"

Hallie responds, "Cuz I'm a stinker."

-While outside, Hallie points to the man walking down the sidewalk with his shirt off, and says, "Look, he naked!!! Mom, Why he naked?" Of course the street was slient.

Gavin's Funnies

-"Mom, I like you so much. I want to be like you."

-Grandpa Scoresby asked Gavin if Dr. Hall delivered our baby and Gavin says, "No. He catch her."

-Gavin got new unders (underwear) and I told him that he has a cute little bum. He looks at me and says, "I don't have a little bum. I have a big bum!"

-While talking to his cousin McKay on the phone he says, "Hi McKay. What are you doing? Eating your boogers?"

-When asked if he wanted a ponytail he replied, "My mommy says I'm a boy."

-Chad was making some quesadillas and Gavin says, "Oh my word! My daddy's cooking!"

-While sitting on the couch next to Heather he says, "P-U Mom!!!"

-After hearing a little boy use the word "fragile" he says, "Yeah, cuz grandma Webb is fragile."

-During sacrament meeting, Gavin is always told to whisper, multiple times. While sitting by Alyssa, not being quiet, and told many times to whisper, he says out loud, "AND THAT'S WHY I DON'T LIKE CHURCH!"
