Here's a few shots from the 4th of July parade and the nightly firework show in Idaho Falls.  We had a great time, as always!

Easter Morning (April 2014)

I couldn't believe how early these kids woke up for Easter!  It was earlier than Christmas!  They were excited!  Hallie started the morning off by reading an Easter poem from The Friend magazine.  Then they found their baskets.  After a little bit, Gavin walked in the kitchen and told everyone that the Easter eggs they had colored were all gone!  He knew the bunny had taken them!  Luckily, the Easter bunny hid them for the small Easter egg hunt they did that morning.  It all turned out well and they all found the eggs!

She ate her chocolate bunny faster than anyone else, and then she wanted Hallie's!

Waiting for the "go ahead" to grab those eggs

Good thing Grandpa Webb got all the poop from the cows and horses off the grass!

Gavin getting ready to go into "the wild" as he called it.
After sacrament meeting and a beautiful Easter Sunday program, we all spent our class time in nursery trying to help out.
Then after lunch, Gavin was so intrigued with exploring that he got himself all ready to go to "the wild."  He kept asking questions about wild animals, should he play with them, how far to explore, when to come back, how to protect himself, etc.  Thankfully Grandpa Webb decided to go with him.  All the kids loved the exploring adventure, but only Gavin, Emily, and Grandpa lasted through the entire adventure.
Happy Easter!!!

Easter Weekend in Wyoming (April 2014)

Easter Weekend was a lot of fun!  We did all the fun Easter things like dyeing the eggs, hunt for the eggs, then also went on a walk, had a hot dog roast, laughed til we hurt, and just enjoyed being together!
She loves her "hee-yahs"

The little stinker saw her brother at the top of the hill, next to the side of the road, and climbed up all by herself.  She was so proud!  Yes, I was spotting her.  It's quite steep actually.

Love that hotdog roast!

A Few December 2013 Activites I forgot

Here are a few more of my favorite December shots I forgot to post.
Gavin loved helping to set up the outdoor nativity.  He likes to be actively doing things and this was important to him.

He took the pieces out to Grandpa Scoresby.
She wanted outside so badly.
The finished product.

Christmas Day December 2013

Our kids actually slept in till after 8am or so.  We all appreciated that!  As soon as Hallie saw the presents she started to rip into one of them.  I panicked and made her stop to wait for everyone, which was hard for her.  I think it killed her excitement a little bit, but it turned out.

We started the morning out with Hallie reading a Christmas story out of The Friend.

One thing Hallie wanted was a place to put all her doll clothes and accessories.
Carrie and Gavin trying out his new light sabers.
Emily getting in the fun too.

These sleeping bags were a huge hit!

Our kids were so happy with their gifts!  They weren't complaining, or asking for more, but were just happy.  It just proves to me that even small Christmas budgets bring plenty of joy!  We were so blessed to have "secret elves" that added to our Christmas this year.  Someone secretly did The 12 Day of Christmas to our family.  For those 12 nights our kids looked forward to the surprise and I think it helped them to see how important it is to think of others.  At one point they said it would be fun for us to do that for someone else.  Christmas brings so many opportunities to serve.  Merry Christmas!  It was wonderful!

Christmas Eve December 2013

Christmas Eve once again, was memorable.  We ate yummy food, acted out the nativity, and giggled our way through the evening.

The kid's table.  Most of the excitement happens here.
We like to do a variety of appetizer type foods and then a bigger meal on Christmas Day.
Gavin a wise man, Katelyn an angel, and Mckay also a wise man.
The angels talking to the shepards.
Emily just wanted to play with the car seat.
This is Emily's face after I told her not to play while Grandma is playing.
