June 2014 Wyoming Visit and Camping

I've been so far behind on blogging, but that's ok.  It's all been for good reason.  That first year of teaching is not for sissies!
We had a blast when we went camping in Wyoming!  Although I don't remember a lot, I do remember it was a fun time, and beautiful too!

Florida Trip November 2013

We had an amazing time in Florida with Chad's parents.  Even though we went in November, temps were in the 80's with just the right amount of humidity!  It was awesome! There are so many pictures so I chose just a few of my favorites to post.  A huge thank you to Chad's parents for taking us, to Julie and Todd and my parents for watching our kids.  They were in such great hands, we didn't have to worry once!  Our kids did so well!  This was the first time since having kids that we went on a fun trip without them.  We love them so much, but we needed this break!

Bear Lake Day 2

The second day at Bear Lake we spent on the Idaho side.  Hands down, the Idaho side is so much better!  The sand was softer, the water clearer, and totally enjoyable!  I didn't get any pics of our huge water fight, probably because I was in it!  Once again, we stayed in the sun too long and loved it!  One of the funniest parts of the day was while some of the adults were sitting under the canopy, Brayden, who's only 5, comes over to the puddle of water right in front of us, and pops out his pee-wee and relieves himself right in puddle where the tiny kids were playing!  No one seemed to mind that the water got a bit warmer!  Really funny, but  maybe not for the parents!

Part of the crew chillin'!

Couldn't keep them out of the sand.

I don't know how Chad talked him into that, but it worked!

Goin' on a bear hunt.  So appropriate for Bear Lake.
So much fun!  It was hard to get back into reality when we got home! The Scoresby crew sure is a fun bunch!

Bear Lake Day 1

Who doesn't love Bear Lake???  We loved it!  The Scoresby crew headed there for our official John Scoresby Reunion that we hold every couple of years.  We rented a vacation home in Garden City,Utah, which sadly, I forgot to take pictures of, spent two glorious days at the lake, ate amazingly well, laughed till we dropped and soaked each other in the lake.  Does it get any better than that???  Oh, I forgot to mention the jet skis!  Gavin's already asked us to purchase him one when he is older.

Building their own "hot tub."

Best friends!

Matthew soaking in a few rays.

Chad and Conner taking a break.

Isn't she a beauty?

He's trying so hard not splash his face!

Gettin' ready for a ride in Todd's boat.

Brayden and Tanner gettin' ready to float away.

And the winner of the swimsuit contest is???
We spent the first day on the Utah side of the lake and we had a blast.  We all got burned, even though we applied lots of sunscreen and later that night, we were all constantly applying coconut oil and aloe vera.  What fun!

Rexburg Rapids

At least Rexburg decided to get a water park!  We had a blast at Rexburg Rapids!  We stayed all day and got out just before a huge windstorm showed up! I love how kid friendly it was and you really can't beat the price!  There was something to keep all ages busy and relaxed!

Gavin went down this slide over and over!

Brayden and Grandpa relaxing in the lazy river.

Grandma catching some rays!

Becky and Gavin enjoying the lazy river.  The extra hands made it easy to keep all the kids safe.

Matthew and Hallie

Hadley, Sarah, and Marlie waiting for the big bucket to dump gallons of water  on them.

My chubby bubby!  She absolutely loved being out and watching all the kids in the water.  She loved the lazy river!
We will definitely be making another trip out to the rapids!
